Allouez is a cozy community of 15,000 nestled between Green Bay and De Pere Wisconsin. Residents are quick to point out that it is not a suburb of Green Bay or De Pere, but a separate town in its own right! It is well known in the area for having a wonderful community theater and local band that plays for major town events. That is not all Allouez has going for it though! Fox River Trail that runs through most of the northeastern sections of Wisconsin goes right through the middle of Allouez with the result that during the summer of 2002, St. Vincent WholeHealth developed a "Health Trail" along a portion of Trail right in Allouez, providing trail users with an outdoor fitness challenge course. Also located in the Allouez section of the Fox River Trail is St. Francis Park. With its picturesque gazebo and park benches overlooking the Fox River, St. Francis Park provides a relaxing resting spot for trail users and picnickers. Not only does Allouez have Fox River Trail running through the town, but also the Green Isle Park. This is a 51-acre recreational area adjacent to the East River in the Town of Allouez. The park is a popular place for picnicking, sports, and hiking. Home prices here are comparable to what you would find in the greater Green Bay area, and there are many choices of homes from new construction to older established homes in the heart of the woodlands.
