Today with over 50,000 residents, Shoreline is Washington State's twelfth largest city. Its 6,911 acres hold over 40 churches, 11 public elementary schools, two public middle schools, two public high schools, a community college, 25 parks encompassing over 330 acres, two libraries, a museum, arts council, teen center, senior center and a growing business community.

Although nearly 60 percent of Shoreline residents were born in Washington, according to 1990 census records, the diversity of the City of Shoreline is steadily increasing. Yet as the face of Shoreline changes, the reasons people enjoy visiting, working and living in the area remain the same - the balance of location, its beautiful setting, and the abundant resources of the great Northwest continue to inspire the quality of life people seek.
