Chesterfield, Virginia is a community whose plat contains the government offices of Chesterfield County, Virginia. Nearby cities and unincorporated communities are Chester, Virginia, Richmond, Virginia, and Manchester, Virginia. Main roads through this area are Ironbridge Road (State Route 10) and State Route 288. Two notable people were born here Representative Nathaniel Herbert Claiborne and Race car driver Denny Hamlin. The painter Clinton Ford died at his home in Chesterfield.
