Texarkana is actually named after three states, but it is located in only two of those states. The Post Office and Photographers Island is located half in Arkansas and half in Texas. Texarkana is large enough to offer almost anything you need, but not so large that you feel intimidated. It's a great place to call home! Surrounded by several very nice lakes within easy driving distance, many nice golf courses, hunting, great shopping in Texarkana and a great climate to enjoy all of these things year round, Texarkana offers many great things. We have good public and private schools and several large manufacturing facilities including two paper mills, tire plant, Aluminum plant and more.
