Ashburn is 30 miles west of Washington, DC in Loudoun County, Virginia. The County is part of Virginia's "Hunt Country" and has a number of horse farms, some owned by well-known movie stars. Loudoun is one of the fastest growing population areas in the United States.

Ashburn has its own golf course at Brambleton, is equipped with two Universities, and is neighbors with Washington Dulles International Airport and Loudoun County Hospital.

Ashburn is also home to the Washington Redskins football team, the National Crash Analysis Center from whose site you can download Vehicle Impact Simulations in MPEG format, and the Old Dominion Brewing Company.
