Westfield Shopping Center, on Manchester Road at I-270, has two department stores and some 50 additional shops and restaurants. Currently undergoing a major renovation, this mall is expanding to better accommodate shopping needs. One of the area's largest regional shopping centers is Chesterfield Mall, located at Highway 40 and Clarkson Road. It has four major department stores and more than 150 specialty stores.

Valley Park School District serves Manchester and it has an elementary school, middle school and high school, all located on the same campus. Valley Park's mission is dedicated to providing a supportive, personalized environment in which students will grow strong intellectually, emotionally, physically and socially today, in preparation for tomorrow.

In Manchester, many of the several hundred small stores and services are owned and operated by local residents. Doctors, dentists, attorneys and other business professionals enjoy the convenience of living and working within West County. A number of banks, insurance agencies and financial services are also located in this area.

The City of Manchester owns five parks encompassing approximately 54 acres. The largest is Paul A. Schroeder Park, with a land area of 44 acres. Facilities at this park include the park office, municipal pool, playground, tennis courts, ball diamonds, walking paths, and picnic pavilions. The city's other four parks offer pavilions, picnic sites, and playgrounds.

Come and enjoy several city-sponsored events during the year, including Manchester Homecoming, Halloween Spooktacular, and Santa's Breakfast. These events have grown in popularity over the years.

The Manchester Aquatic Center is also a popular hangout for residents. The department offers a wide variety of programmatic activities at the facility, including swimming lessons, exercise classes, swim meets, and special family events.
