The Chamber supports workforce development initiatives and encourages business-education partnerships to help prepare students for the workplace. Stillwater students consistently outscore other districts in the state on standardized tests. Stillwater Public Schools have been rated in the "Top 100" districts in the U.S., and Expansion Management Magazine gives Stillwater High School its highest "Gold Medal" rating for workforce preparation.

The community has a high level of educational attainment, with 45 percent having completed sixteen years or more of formal education, and nearly one in four residents with post-graduate degrees.
Stillwater is home to Oklahoma State University, a comprehensive research university attracting more than $495 million annually in research and other sponsored programs. The Stillwater campus of Northern Oklahoma College partners with Oklahoma State University to provide remedial courses for students seeking to attend OSU.

In addition, the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education is headquartered here and is the only state agency headquartered outside of Oklahoma City. The local area Technology Center, Meridian Technology Center, serves ten area high schools, as well as serving the custom training needs of area business and industry.
