Westbrook, Maine Relocation Guide

Westbrook Maine is a modern city of over 16,000 people, although its roots are steeped in the history of this country. It is very conveniently and prettily situated on the Presumpscot River, six miles west of the river's mouth on the Atlantic Ocean.

Westbrook offers a variety of residential neighborhoods. Within the city proper, one will find older, well established traditional neighborhoods while modern, newly developed complexes and condominiums flourish in the outlying areas. Westbrook actively promotes industrial growth through its industrial park developments. The city's voters have demonstrated their support for industrial expansion through the passage of industrial revenue bonds and other similar financial incentives.

A variety of planned and individual activities are available for people of all ages. Cultural attractions within easy access of Westbrook include the Portland Symphony Orchestra; the nationally recognized Portland Museum of Art, which houses the permanent Payson Collection of Winslow Homer works; a professional theater, the Portland Stage Company; and numerous other theatrical, dance, and music ensembles.
