The city has implemented a number of special events that create a culture of the community. Concerts in the Square are held once a month with a free 3 hour concert, food vendors, and booth exhibits where local artists and business owners display their wares.

Cathedral City is home to The Doral Desert Princess which offers luxurious four star amenities throughout the resort. Features include 285 rooms and suites plus 27 holes of Championship PGA golf. The warmth and beauty of the landscaped ground, blue lakes, green fairways, and stunning mountain views are a delight to the senses.

Cathedral Canyon Golf and Tennis Club was designed and built in the early 1970's by David Rainville. This 6500 yards of championship golf with it's 20 lakes and a complete tennis facility is the centerpiece of the Cathedral Canyon Condominium Development.

Cimarron Golf Resort features two world-class layouts designed by John Fought. Cimarron, named after the vibrant purple flower, also means "wild and untamed". Cimarron utilizes European style characteristics reminiscent of Scotland, a very imaginative mix that helped earn the vote of Golf Digest "Best Places To Play" 2003/2004. EDUCATION
Cathedral City has four elementary schools, two middle schools, and one high school. College of the Desert is a fully accredited community college bestowing various associate art degrees. The college works with local businesses providing contract education and a comprehensive array of training and management programs. Satellite campuses of California State University, San Bernardino and Chapman University offer bachelor, master and doctoral programs. University of California at Riverside, University of Redlands and the Claremont Colleges are 60 minutes away. Soon to arrive is the University of California - Riverside, A. Gary Anderson School of Management.
