Brunswick is a growing residential community located almost equal distance between Cleveland to the north and Akron to the southeast. The Brunswick City School District, serving almost 7,300 students in grades K-12, is the largest school district in Medina County. A superior educational program combined with a challenging yet nurturing environment form the basis of the district's mission to empower students to excel as creative thinkers, effective communicators, and insightful decision makers in an increasingly competitive and diverse society.

The Brunswick Community Recreation Center is a hub of activity for all ages and skill levels. From aquatics classes for newborns to exercise programs for seniors with arthritis, the center offers a wide range of fitness and aquatic programs as well as opportunities for competitive fun in its various sports leagues. The center's experienced, certified instructors provide individualized attention to participants in aerobics, yoga, Tai Chi, self-defense, and aquatics classes, as well as to those using cardiovascular and strength training equipment.

Named "Festival of the Year" for 2000 by the Greater Ohio Showmen's Association, Brunswick Old Fashioned Days is the largest annual event held in the City of Brunswick and the second-largest in Medina county. The festival, organized and operated entirely by volunteers, attracts over 25,000 visitors in a five day period. With a focus on fostering community involvement and civic pride, organizers funnel all net profits back into the Brunswick community through charitable organizations.

Cultural, recreational, and other facilities of the major cities are readily available to complement those available in the community. Brunswick residents enjoy easy access to professional sports of all types, symphonic concerts, museums, art galleries, zoos, and extensive park systems.
