Katonah is one of three hamlets within the township of Bedford. There is a bustling town center with many restored Victorian buildings which house the town's shops and boutiques. The homes right in town are on small plots of land and are mostly Victorian or colonial in style. There are many residential areas surrounding the town where property sizes range in size from 1 acre to upwards of 25 acres. Prices range from $500,000 up into the multi-million dollar range. Katonah is the essence of country living, with residents who are both sophisticated and dedicated to the town. There is no lack of cultural activity, for Katonah is home to two famous cultural centers. Rippowam Cisqua is a private school in Bedford for grades K-9 and the Harvey School in Katonah serves grades 6-12 Recreation: The Katonah Village Park has four tennis courts, two paddle courts, a swimming pool, and a softball field. Activities include summer camp for children and a summer swim team. Transportation: Major highways include I-684, and The Saw Mill River Parkway. The Harlem line of Metro-North has a train station in Katonah, commuting time is approximately one hour by train, 15 to 20 minutes to White Plains by car, and 20 minutes to Westchester Airport by car.
