This tiny town offers the ultimate in diverse architectural design--Tudors, cottages, ranches, split levels, colonials, and luxurious mansions set on beautifully landscaped grounds. It is a small community with an involved citizenry. From the Memorial Day activities to the well organized recreational programs, Ho-Ho-Kus people participate in local activities on all levels. Respectful of its colonial heritage, Ho-Ho-Kus claims the distinction of being one of the oldest communities in New Jersey and has within its borders a charming 1950's English Tudor village called "Cheelcroft." The elementary school operates through the eighth grade. Secondary students complete their education in partnership with the very highly rated Northern Highlands Regional High School, located in the nearby town of Allendale. Ho-Ho-Kus offers a quaint town shopping area with fine restaurants, antique shops, and convenience stores. Ho-Ho-Kus also has a train station for NYC commuting as well as bus routes. Located near Route 17 for easy access to the 5 major shopping malls and many other retail stores of Paramus, New Jersey. Courtesy of Barry Colyer |
