Paradise, NevadaA major portion of the area commonly referred to as "The Las Vegas Strip" is located within Paradise Township. Paradise Township is unincorporated and subject to control by Clark County, Nevada. It comprises the South unincorporated "half" of Las Vegas, generally South of Sahara Avenue, which runs east-west across Las Vegas. Nearly all of the gambling facilities and nightlife of Las Vegas Boulevard (The Strip), for which Las Vegas is noted, is South of this cross street where there are fewer regulations. The University of Nevada-Las Vegas, Las Vegas Convention Center, and McCarran International Airport are all located here. Cold weather is almost unheard of, which is one reason the entire Vegas area has become so popular. If you want snow though, then the mountains that ring Vegas will provide that! Sun is the order of the day though, with more than 330 days of sun a year. If having fun is your idea of heaven, then you will find yourself in paradise in Paradise! With everything from themed casino malls, to family entertainment to "ghost towns" not far away, with the strip, and the all the hands-on museums for the kids, there is something to do and see every hour of the day or night. Home choices are almost limitless as well, from apartments, condos, cluster homes and large single-family homes, there is something for everyone. Homes in this area are very reasonable with a large 2,500 square foot home in a gated community, with full amenities (like pool, basketball and tennis courts) for $200,000. There are older, more established neighborhoods and subdivisions as well. Many people make the mistake of thinking that Vegas is all lights and action all the time, but Paradise is really a good place to raise a family, with safe streets and excellent, all year round education. Vegas is a great place to be employed, and with no state tax, you certainly do get more bang for your buck! There are limitless job opportunities here from casino work to high-tech industry (the casinos need all the technology they can get!) So, for perfect weather, low taxes, great housing, excellent schools and job opportunities, Paradise truly is a paradise! Come and check it out - you'll be glad you did!
