Waverly, Nebraska Relocation Guide

Thirteen miles northeast of Lincoln, Nebraska nestled in the hills of this region, lies the small community of Waverly, a town of approximately 2,200 souls. The community is family oriented, offering a safe environment, central location, great home prices and best of all, friendly, caring people.

The area surrounding Lincoln was first considered a "destination" when Native Americans journeyed miles out of their way to scrape up salt deposits from the bed of what is today known as Capital Beach Lake. Springs thick with salt from underground salt deposits would bubble to the surface of the lakebed. The salty water would drain back into the dry ground and the process of evaporation would leave the salt behind.

Today the salt is gone, but the people are still here, and they stayed because of the beauty of the area, as well as the wonderful changes of season experienced here! Waverly has four distinct seasons, and each one has its own unique characteristic and beauty.

One reason Waverly is a growing community is its proximity to Lincoln. New developments here can be built on large tracts of land, which gives the residents a sense of being in the country, while still being close enough to the "Star City" to make for a comfortable and reasonable drive. The average price of a home here is $98,000. But, there is nothing to hold you back from owning your dream home in this community!

Nearby Lincoln offers a great array of activities, recreation, shopping, dining and night life if you want to spice things up a little!
