Grain Valley is currently ranked the third fastest growing community in the Metro area. The population of Grain Valley increased 109% from 1990 to 1998. In a recent publication Grain Valley was ranked fourth in population growth in the state of Missouri. Grain Valley still maintains its "small town feel".
Grain Valley is located minutes away from attractions like Worlds of Fun amusement park and Oceans of Fun water park. Arrowhead Stadium, home of the Kansas City Chiefs, and Kauffman Stadium, home of the Kansas City Royals, are 14 miles away. The Kansas City Zoo and Nelson Atkins Museum of Art are also close by.
Over the years, Grain Valley has become home to several antique shops and malls. For outdoor enthusiasts, the area is home to biking, nature and horseback riding trails that wind through lush forests and rolling pastures. For those who love to golf, the hotel is within a few miles of several area golf courses.
A trip to the area is not complete without visiting the Historic Fort Osage, one of the first trading posts west of the Mississippi River. A variety of restaurants and cocktail lounges are located in the surrounding area.
